This evergreen to semi-evergreen is an attractive foliage that performs well even under harsh conditions. In Spring, little white flowers with golden anthers appear in long arching panicles at the tips of the branches. In the fall, this shrub produces non-edible green berries which ripen to bright red throughout the fall to winter. It's foliage emerges purple in the spring, ripens to a soft green then matures to purple to reddish-purple in the fall. This Nandina really has amazing year-round color!
